Our Busy Summer:

So I've had no time to post since July, So I have lots to catch up on. My memory card was filling up with pictures so I hope I can rembember and get it all in in one post at least I'll try to sum up the major events we did so here it goes:


We had a busy summer full of fun and many memories:


Aug: We went Camping in Idaho, close to Sun Valley with Dereks Family. This our First anual Summer Taylor Family Runion. We had so much fun. This was the boys first campout, we went for 5 nights 6 days. The first night it took us a while to get the boys to fall asleep. I think they were just so excited to be sleeping with us in a tent! After that night though, it didn't take long for them to go to sleep. The boys had fun spending time with their grandpa and all the Aunts/Uncles and Cousins. Though we were on vacation. Derek still had to work so he would drive down every day to a town near by to work. Then he would be back by 4 or 5. It was a little hard but I had lots of help from the inlaws. On one of the last nights we held a talent show it was lots of fun watching everyone participate. We did a "chin" lip sink (don't know what else to call it ) but we sant to a Jonas Borthers song S.O.S. we were supposed to do it as a family but Dominc in the end didn't want to participate, but Cristian did a good attempt.

This Was our Trip To Candy Mountain with our parents. Each Family that went stayed in these small cabins. Each day we would go out and ride the rhino and my parents with the 4 wheeler out on the trials the boys LOVED riding on the rhino. There was this spot that was shape like a bowl, the kids loved cause it had all these ups and downs, they would raise their arms and scream as if it were a roller coaster. On one ocasion we just took it on a trail the boys fell asleep on each other. So much fun was had.
On our trip home we stopped by a Dairy queen and got the boys a fudge sunday. We didn't plan on Edison having one for obvious reasons. When I turnned back to ask the boys if they were done, and ask for their trash. I find a surprise: Edison, with a huge smile on his face, had fudge all over himself. I could not stop lauphing. He thought he was quiete funny also. Aperantly Cristian was kind enough to share with his brother. Fun times!


Classic watter park:

We baught a passes for the boys to classic fun center this summer, and boy did we use them! We went to the water park at least once a week. Some days we would head inside where the kids would play in the jungle or the giant inflatable slides. We had lots of fun there. We for sure will be getting another pass next

State Fair:

We went to the State Fair, that was loads of fun, the kids and I headed early in the day so that they could enjoy the rides before the lines formed later that evening. Derek and the Camous then joined us later in the afternoon. Mean time the boys went down the giant slides over and over. Their other favorite was the cars. Kids had lots of fun. I did ejoyed watching them having a great time. We were there from 2:30pm till almost 10pm. Yeah, I know! But, the kids had fun.



Well, that was our summer, in a nutshell. But now to some important events:

Dereks Birthday

Edisons 1st Birthday : ( my baby. No more.

Domincs Starts Kindergarten! my boy is all grown up!



For Dereks Birthday we pulled a small fun surprise birthday party, but with just me and the boys. Derek was out of town that week and he came home on his birthday. He warned me not to throw him anykind of party. But I thought it would be fun to have just me and the boys have a little surprise for him. I baked him a cake and decorated the family room. When we heard him come in the kids and I hid and surprised him. It almost scared him, to think it was and actual surprise party with other people. But when he realized it was just us I think it surprised him even more but made the moment more special. Am I right Derek? What do you say?

EDISONS BIRTHDAY!



Edison's 1st Birthday came and went so fast. My baby is no longer a baby. It strange to think all the baby milestones are my last with him. It's bitter sweet, but regardless I am looking froward to the new season. I will for sure try to enjoy every moment.
For his birthday party I tried to be go a "healthy option" way. So I made a 3 leches cake with whole weat flour it was pretty good. But I think regular white flour does taste a little better. We had family over and some good friends of ours the Rivera family. I made taco soup, yum.
Presents: He got a cool piano/activity stand lights up makes all sorts of noice and plays music and sings in spanish and Enlish. That was from grandma.

Dear Edison,
Does time fly by when your having fun! It seems like it was just yesterday that I was holding you in my arms at the hospital. You have brough such a joy in our lives. We are so blessed and honored to be your parents. Even, though as my last child, I was hopping for a girl. I can't imagine life with out you! I know you are meant to be part our our family. I love you!

Things your up to:

You love cuddling, and the only baby that would actually sleep in our arms. Thank you for that! You are such a happy boy.Your favorite toy right now are balls. You can't get enough of them. You were the only baby that took a binky. That was nice. And you are the only one that was off the bottle and your binky 1 month before your first Birthday. You hated your sippy cup at first and would yell and scream at me from your high chair for a nipple. But eventually you got it! Now that your are 13 months. (this is when I'm writing this) you finally dared to climb the stairs. You still are scared to come down. But if we put you in the right position you eagerly come down.

You love to bonk heads with us. I don't know how you can bonk us so hard and not hurt you! It hurts me! But you don't seem to mind it. Your still not wanting to walk and stand alone for that matter. When we try to practice walking with you, you think its a game and start jumping up and down. In a way its good. keeps me from chasing you around and keeps you out of trouble. : )

Dominc Starts Kindergarten:




Dominc started his first day of school. I was so excited for him. He was so nervous because he doesn't do well in new situations but he did awesome! He came home excited that he made friends. He was nervous about that. But it all turned out. He is going to a Charter School name DIA its far from home a 20 minute drive, but I hope it will be worth it. It is a dual immersion school were he will learn Spanish. His cousins Jocelynn and Trystan attend there also. So we have a car pool going. The Camous drop them off, and I go pick them up.
So far as of today, he has been doing awesome. He has two teachers. Miss Mindy Layton his English teacher and Mrs Ibonny Rodriguez, his Spanish teacher. He enjoys doing home work and is learning to site read the words the, see, in , an, is, and here.
